Our Story

At a family gathering, Mike’s Aunt shared her vision of keeping the family together and keep the kids off the street. That’s when she turned to Mike for a solution. In 2013, collecting his experience on and off the court, combined with his love for community and family, Coach Mike Davis formed a team. This team consisted of a group of young men in his family that were in high school & had an interest in playing basketball. The team of cousins would later become, ‘ The Family’ .

Over the years, the team traveled all over the country, gaining notoriety and interest. After all the cousins graduated from high school , 90% of them went to college with many awarded scholarships. In 2019, the team transitioned into the world of girls’ basketball and become the 94/50 FAMILY RENEGADES .

Mike and his partners , Von McKnight , and De’Andre Belle has continued the legacy each year, warranting a massive impact, creating an opportunity for the unknown and giving them a platform.

Coach Davis has turned unknown players into basketball stars. His dedication to teaching, leadership, and mentorship is the cornerstone of our program.
